Chapter 8

And Saul approved and participated in his murder. And that day started a widespread persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and all those, except the Apostles, scattered in among the villages of Judaea and also in among the Samaritans
. And devout men wrapped up and buried Stephen And they mourned immensely over him
. And Saul persecuted the church of God, entering houses, and apprehending men and women and sending them to prison
. And those who escaped, went from place to place and preached the word of God
. And Philip went down to a Samaritan town, and preached about the Messiah
And when the people there heard his message, they all welcomed him and accepted what he said, for they had seen the miracles which he performed
. For many possessed by unclean spirits, cried out with loud voice as they came out of them, and others, who were crippled and lame were healed
. And there was immense joy in that city
And there was a certain man there, whose name was Simon, who had lived in that town a long time, and who deceived the Samaritan people with his sorcery, exalting himself, and saying, I, am remarkable
. And they were all won over to him, eminent and ordinary alike, and they said, This is the divine power of God
. And they acknowledged him because he had astonished them for a long time with his sorcery
But as they came to believe Philip when he preached the Realm of God, in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, they were baptized, both men and women
And even Simon himself believed, and was baptized, and accompanied Philip And when he saw the signs and great miracles which were performed by his hand, he was amazed and astonished
And when the Apostles in Jerusalem heard the people of the Samaritans had received the word of God, they sent out Simon Kephas and John to them
. And they went down there, and prayed over them, so they might receive the Holy Spirit
. For he was not yet on any one of them, as they had been baptized only, in the name of our Lord Jesus
. Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit
. And when Simon saw that by the laying of a hand of the Apostles, the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
. saying: Give me this ability as well, so on whom he I lay a hand may receive the Holy Spirit
Simon Kephas said to him: May you with your money go to be forever lost, because you thought that the gift of God may be bought with money
. You have no part nor right in this faith, for your heart is not right before God
Nonetheless, repent of your evilness, and pray to God, so that the falseness of your heart may be forgiven
For I see that you are bitter with anger and in the clutches of iniquity
. Simon answered and said: Pray to God for me, so none of what you spoke of may come to me
And after Simon and John had testified and taught them the word of God, they returned to Jerusalem And they preached in many villages of the Samaritans
And the angel of the Lord spoke to Philip, and said to him: Arise, go to the south, along the desert route that leads down from Jerusalem to Gaza
And he arose and went And he was met by an abstainer*, who had come from Cush, an official of Candace, queen of the Cushites, who had oversight of all her treasure, and had come to worship at Jerusalem
And as he returned, he was sat in his chariot, and was reading Isaiah the prophet
And the Holy Spirit said to Philip: Go near, and stay close to the chariot
? And when he went near, he heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and he said to him: Do you understand what you read
And he said: How can I understand, unless some one teaches me ? And he asked Philip if he would come up and sit with him
And the portion of scripture which he was reading, was this: He was led as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a ewe is silent before the shearer, so too, he did not open his mouth
! He was led from prison in humiliation and has no one to defend him, and who will talk of his descendants, since his life on earth has been taken away
? And the abstainer said to Philip: I ask you, of whom does the prophet speak this, of himself, or of some other person
. Then Philip opened his mouth and began to preach to him from that scripture, about our Lord Jesus
? And as they went on their way, they came to a certain place where there was water And the abstainer said: Behold, water ! What prevents me from being baptized
And Philip said: If you believe with all your heart, it may be so And he answered, and said: I believe that Jesus the Messiah is the Son of God
And he ordered the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water, and Philip baptized the abstainer
And when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord carried Philip away, and the abstainer never saw him again, but went on his way rejoicing
And Philip was found at Azotus, and from there he traveled around and preached in all the towns as far as Caesarea

Chapter 9

. And Saul was still full of threats and mortal hatred against the disciples of our Lord
And he asked the high priest to give him letters to the synagogues at Damascus, so if he should find anyone following this Way, man or woman, he might arrest them and bring them to Jerusalem
. And as he was going, and started to near Damascus, there suddenly was shone upon him a light from heaven
And he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him: Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me ? It will be hard for you to kick against the prods
. He answered, and said: Who are you, my Lord ? And our Lord said: I am Jesus the Nazarene, whom you persecute
. But get up and go into the city, and there it will be told to you what you have to do
And the men who traveled with him during the journey stood speechless, for they heard only the voice, and no one was seen by them
And Saul got up from the ground, and he could not see anything, even with his eyes opened And they took him by the hand, and led him into Damascus
And he had no sight for three days, and he neither ate nor drank
And there was in Damascus a certain disciple named Ananias And the Lord said in a vision to him: Ananias ! And he said: Behold, I am here, my Lord
And our Lord said to him: Get up, go to the street called Straight, and in the house of Judas, ask for a Saul who is from the city of Tarsus: for, behold, while he prayed,
he saw in a vision a man named Ananias, who came and laid his hand upon him, so his sight might be restored
And Ananias said: My Lord, I have heard from many about this man, and how much harm he has brought to your saints in Jerusalem
And, Behold, here as well has he warrants from the high priests to arrest all those that call on your name
The Lord said to him: Get up and go, for he is a vessel chosen by me, to carry my name to the pagans, and to kings, and among the sons of Israel
For I will show him how much sorrow he is to have on account of my name
Then Ananias went to him at the house, and he laid his hand upon him, and said to him: Saul, my brother, our Lord Jesus, he who appeared to you on the way as you came, has sent me, so your sight might be restored, and you may be filled with the Holy Spirit
And at that moment there fell from his eyes something like a scales, and his sight was restored And he got up and was baptized
And he took food and was strengthened And for days he was there with the disciples of Damascus
And from then on, in the synagogues of the Jews he proclaimed that He, Jesus, is the Son of God
And all those that heard him were astonished, and said: Is this not he who persecuted all those that call on this name in Jerusalem ? And behold, for this very purpose as well, was he sent here, so he might arrest and take those off to the high priests
But Saul was strengthened more, and he confounded those Jews who lived in Damascus, when he proved that this is the Messiah
And when he had been there many days, the Jews plotted against him to kill him
And the plot they wanted to carry out on him was made known to Saul, how they watched the gates of the city, day and night, in hope to kill him
Then the disciples placed him in a basket, and from the wall let him down at night
And he went to Jerusalem, and wanted to join with the disciples, but they were all afraid of him, and did not believe that he was a disciple
But BarNabas took him, and brought him to the Apostles, and told them how the Lord appeared to him on the journey, and how he spoke with him, and how he had preached openly in Damascus, in the name of Jesus
And he went in and out with them, at Jerusalem
And he spoke openly in the name of Jesus and argued with those Jews who understood Greek But they wanted to kill him,
and when the brothers knew, they took him by night to Caesarea, and from there they sent him to Tarsus
Then the church throughout Judaea, and in Galilee, and in Samaria, had peace and was building, and it walked in the fear of God, and filled in the consolation of the Holy Spirit
And it happened, that as Simon traveled about the cities, he also came to the saints who lived down in the city of Lydda
And he found a certain man whose name was Aeneas, who had been paralytic and bedridden for eight years
And Simon said to him: Aeneas, Jesus the Messiah heals you, get up, and make your bed And that moment he got up
And all those that lived in Lydda and Saron, saw him, and they turned to God
And there was in the city of Joppa, a certain woman disciple named Tabitha,  who was bountiful in good deeds, and in donations which she gave
And she got ill in those days, and died, and they washed her, and laid her out in a room upstairs
And the disciples heard that Simon was in the city of Lydda, near Joppa, and they sent two men to request him that he to come to them without delay
And Simon got up and went with them And when he arrived, they led him to the room, and there gathered around her were all the widows, weeping, and showing him the tunics and cloaks Tabitha had given them when alive
And Simon sent all the people out, and fell on his knees and prayed, and he turned to the body and said: Tabitha, get up And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Simon, she sat up
And he gave her his hand and helped her up, and he called the saints and the widows, and presented her alive to them
And this became known throughout the city, and many believed in our Lord
. And he remained in Joppa for many days, and he stayed in the house of Simon the tanner

Chapter 10

And there was a certain man in Caesarea, whose name was Cornelius, a centurion of the regiment called the Italian
And he was just and devout, him and all his household, and he gave many alms among people, and prayed to God all the time
!This man distinctly saw in a vision, at about three in the afternoon, an angel of God, who came in to him and said to him: Cornelius
And he looked at him, and was afraid, and he said: What is it, my Lord ? And the angel said to him: Your prayers and alms have risen as an offering before God
And now, send men to the city of Joppa, and bring here Simon who is called Kephas
.Behold, he is staying in the house of Simon the tanner, which is by the seaside
And when the angel who spoke with him had left, he called two of his household, and a soldier who was devout and dutiful to him
And he told them everything he had seen, and sent them off to Joppa
And the next day, as they journeyed on the way and neared the city, Simon went up on the housetop to pray at noontime
And he became hungry, and wanted to eat. And while they were making something for him, he fell into a trance
And he saw the heavens opened, and something fastened at the four corners, resembling a large cloth, and it was let from heaven down to earth
And there were in it all sorts of four-legged animals, and crawling things of the earth, and birds of the sky
And a voice came to him, which said: Simon, get up, kill and eat
And Simon said: Far be it, my Lord, for I have never eaten anything that was profane and defiled
And again the second time, there came a voice to him: What God has made clean, you should not call profane
And this was done three times, and the cloth was taken up to heaven
And while Simon was wondering to himself what the vision he had seen meant, the men sent by Cornelius arrived, and they asked for the house in which Simon stayed, and came and stood at the gate of the yard
?And from there they called out and asked if a Simon who is called Kephas stayed there
And while Simon was reflecting on the vision, the Spirit said to him: Behold, three men are asking for you
Get up, go down and go with them, and do not let your mind doubt, for I have sent them
?Then Simon went down to the men, and said to them: I am he whom you ask for, what is the reason for which you have come
They say to him: A certain man whose name is Cornelius, a devout centurion, and whom all the people of the Jews have good things to say, was told in a vision, by a holy angel, to send for and bring you to his house, so he might hear you preach
And Simon led them in, and welcomed them where he stayed And the following day, he got up, left, and went with them and some of the brothers of Joppa went with them, too
And the next day, they entered Caesarea And Cornelius was waiting for them, and all his family relatives, and so too, the close friends he had, were gathered with him
And as Simon came up, Cornelius met him, and fell down paying homage at his feet
And Simon lifted him up, and said to him: Get up, I am a man as well
And as he talked with him, he went in, and found that many had come there
And he said to them: You know, that it is unlawful for a Jewish man, to associate with a stranger who is not of his race, but God has showed me that I should not say that anyone is defiled or profane
?Therefore I came at once when you sent for me But, let me ask you, for what reason did you send for me
And Cornelius said to him: It is four days ago that, behold, as I was fasting, and at three in the afternoon, while I was praying in my house, a certain man stood before me, cloaked in white,
and said to me: Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and there is a offering of your alms before God
But send to the city of Joppa, and bring Simon who is called Kephas, behold, staying in the house of Simon the tanner, which is by the seaside. And he will come and speak with you
And at that moment I sent for you, and you have done well to come, and behold, we are all here before you, and wanting to hear whatever is prescribed to you from God
,And Simon opened his mouth, and said: Truly I realize that God is no respecter of personages
.but, among all the nations, he who reveres him, and does what is right, is acceptable with him
For the word which He sent to the sons of Israel, proclaiming to them peace and serenity by Jesus the Messiah, He is Lord of all
and you also know the word which was throughout Judaea, which started from Galilee, after the baptism that John preached
regarding Jesus, who was from Nazareth, whom God anointed with the Holy Spirit and with power And it was He, who went about and healed those who were suffering from evil, because God was with him
And we are his witnesses as to everything he did throughout the land of Judaea and in Jerusalem This same person the Jews hanged on a tree, and killed him
,And God raised him up on the third day, and made him to be seen by uncovered eyes
not so by all the people, but by us, who were chosen by God to be his witnesses, who ate and drank with him after his resurrection from the dead
And he ordered us to proclaim and testify to the people, that he is appointed from God to be judge of the living and dead
And of him all the prophets testify, that whoever believes in his name, will receive forgiveness of sins
And while Simon was speaking these things, the Holy Spirit descended on all those who were hearing the word
And the converted brothers who came with him were awed and astonished, that the gift of the Holy Spirit was poured out upon the pagans as well
:For they heard them as they spoke with different languages, and exalting God And Simon said
?Can anyone refuse water so those should not be baptized, those who have received, behold, the Holy Spirit, as well as us
Then he ordered them to be baptized in the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah. And they asked him to stay days with them

Chapter 11

.And the Apostles and the brothers in Judaea heard that the pagans had also accepted the word of God
,And when Simon come up to Jerusalem, those who were converts criticized him
.saying; that he had visited with pagan converts, and had eaten with them
:And Simon began to respond with details, one after another, saying
As I was praying in Joppa, I saw in vision something like a sheet come down, and it was tied at its four corners, and it descended from heaven and came even to me
And as I looked upon it, and I saw that in it were four-legged animals, and crawling things of the earth, and birds of the sky
And I heard a voice saying to me: Simon, get up, kill, and eat
And I said: Far be it, my Lord For never has any thing profane or defiled entered my mouth
And again, a voice from heaven said to me: What God has made clean, you should not call profane
And this was done three times, and then everything was taken up to heaven
And at the same moment, three men who were sent to me by Cornelius from Caesarea, came and stood at the gate of the courtyard of where I stayed
.And the Spirit said to me: Go with them without delay And these six brothers also went with me, and we entered the man's house
And he related to us, how he had seen an angel in his house, who stood and said to him: Send to the city of Joppa, and bring a Simon who is called Kephas
and he will speak to you words by which you will Live, you and all your household
.And when I started speaking there, the Holy Spirit came over them as it did for us at the beginning
And I remembered the words of our Lord when he said: John baptized with water, but you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit
?If God then gave the gift equally to the pagans that believed in our Lord Jesus Messiah, as he did to us, who was I that I should dispute God
And when they heard these words they relented, and they glorified God and said: Perhaps God has also granted the pagans repentance that leads to Life
And they who were scattered by the persecution which happened on account of Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, and even to the region of Cyprus, and to Antioch, preaching the word to none but the Jews alone
And there were some of them from Cyprus and from Cyrene, who went up to Antioch, and spoke to the Greeks, and preached concerning our Lord Jesus
And the hand of the Lord was with them, and many believed, and turned to the Lord
And this news came to the attention of the sons of the church at Jerusalem, and they sent BarNabas to Antioch
And when he came there and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced, and he pleaded them, that they should follow with all their heart our Lord
For he was a good man, and was full of the Holy Spirit, and faith And many people were added to our Lord
.And then he departed for Tarsus to search for Saul
And when he had found him, he brought him with him to Antioch And for a whole year they met together in the church, and taught many people From that time onward, the disciples were called Christians, first, at Antioch
.In those days prophets came there from Jerusalem
And one of them whose name was Agabus, stood up and foretold thru the Spirit that there would be a great famine throughout the land And that famine happened in the days of Claudius Caesar
And then the disciples, each one according to his inate ability, chose to send for the relief of the brothers who lived in Judaea
.And they sent it thru BarNabas and Saul to the elders there

Chapter 12

And at that very time Herod, the king named Agrippa, arrested some of the church, to persecute them
.And he killed James the brother of John with the sword
And when he saw that this pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Simon Kephas, too. And this so passed during the days of unleavened bread
He arrested him and threw him into prison, and handed him over to sixteen soldiers to guard him, so he might hand him over to the Jewish people after the Passover
.And while Simon was kept in the prison, continual prayer was offered to God by the church on his behalf
And on the night before the morning on which he was to be handed over, while Simon was sleeping between two soldiers, and was bound with two chains, and others were guarding the doors of the prison
an angel of the Lord stood over him, and a light shone in all the building, and he tapped him on his side, and woke him, and said to him: Get up, quickly And the chains fell off from his hands
And the angel said to him: Put on your belt and your sandals And he did so And again he said to him: Wrap your cloak around you, and follow me
And he went out and followed him, not knowing what had been really done by the angel, for he thought that he was envisioning it
And when they passed the first and second guard, they came to the iron gate, and it opened to them on its own accord And when they had gone out, and had passed one street, the angel left him
Then Simon came to himself, and he said: Now I know that God has really sent his angel, and released me from the grip of King Herod the king, and from what the Jews were scheming against me
And when he had understood, he went to the house of Mary, the mother of John named Mark, for many brothers were gathered praying there
And he knocked at the gate of the courtyard, and a servant named Rhoda came to answer him
And she recognized the voice of Simon: and in her joy, she did not open the gate for him, but ran back and told them: Behold, Simon is standing at the courtyard gate
They said to her: You are out of your mind But she insisted that it was true They said to her: Perhaps it is his angel
.And Simon was still knocking at the gate, and they went outside, saw him, and were astonished
And he gestured them by hand to be quiet, and he went in, and described to them how the Lord had released him from the prison And he said to them: Tell these things to James and to the brothers. And he left and went to another place
And when it was morning, there was a great commotion among the soldiers about Simon and what had become of him
And Herod, when he had him searched for, could not find him, questioned the guards, and ordered them put to death And he went from Judaea, and took up residence at Caesarea
And because he was angry with the Tyrians and Sidonians, they gathered and came to him in a body; and having persuaded Blastus, the king's chamberlain, they urged him that they might have peace, because the food supplies of their country depended on the kingdom of Herod
And on an appointed day, Herod was wore robes of state, and sat on a tribunal, and made a speech to those gathered
.And all the people shouted, and said: This is the voice of a God, and not of a mortal
And, because he had not given the glory to God, that moment the angel of God struck him down, and he was eaten away with worms, and died
.And the gospel of God was proclaimed, and spread
And BarNabas and Saul, after they had completed their task, returned from Jerusalem to Antioch And they took with them John, who was named Mark

Chapter 13

Now there were in the church at Antioch, prophets and teachers; BarNabas, and Simon, called Niger, and Lucius who was from the town of Cyrene, and Menael, a son of the governess of Herod the Tetrarch, and Saul
And while they fasted and offered worship to God, the Holy Spirit said to them: Appoint to me Saul and BarNabas, to the work for which I have called them
And after they had fasted and prayed, they laid the hands on them, and sent them away
And they, having been sent forth by the Holy Spirit, went down to Seleucia, and from there they went by sea as far as Cyprus
And when they entered the city of Salamis, they preached the word of our Lord in the synagogues of the Jews And John ministered to them
And when they had traveled the entire island as far as the city Paphos, they found a certain man, a Jewish magician, who was a false prophet, and whose name was Bar-Suma
He was close to a wise man called Sergius Paulus, who was the proconsul And the proconsul sent for Saul and BarNabas, and wanted to hear from them the word of God
And this magician, Bar-Suma, - whose name means Elymas, - tried to hinder them, wanting to keep the proconsul away from the faith
,And Saul, who is called Paul, was filled with the Holy Spirit, and he looked at him
and said: Oh you, full of every sort of fraud and evilness, you son of the devil, and enemy of all righteousness, will you not stop twisting the right ways of the Lord
And now, the hand of the Lord is upon you, and you will be blind, and will not see the sun for a time And at that moment there fell upon him a mist and darkness, and he went about, asking who would lead him by the hand
.And when the proconsul saw what happened, he was astonished; and he believed the in teachings of the Lord
And Paul and BarNabas went by sea, from the city of Paphos to Perga in Pamphylia And John left them and went back to Jerusalem
.And they left Perga, and came to Antioch, a city of Pisidia, and they went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down
And after the reading of the Law, and the prophets, the elders of the synagogue sent word to them, and said: Men, brothers, if you have a word of encouragement, speak to the people
And Paul got up, and lifted up his hands, and said: Men, sons of Israel, and you that fear God, listen
The God of this people chose our forefathers, and exalted them, and multiplied them, when they lived in the land of Egypt, and with a strong arm brought them out of it
.And he fed them in the wilderness for forty years
And he destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, and gave them their land for an inheritance
.And for four hundred and fifty years he gave them judges, until the prophet Samuel
And then they asked for themselves a king, and God gave them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years
And he took him away, and raised up to them David as king, and he testified of him, and said: I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, to do my will
From the line of this man, God has raised up as he promised for Israel, a Saviour, Jesus
.And, before his coming, he sent John to proclaim the baptism of repentance to all the people of Israel
And as John fulfilled his ministry, he said: Who do you think that I am ? I am not He But behold, one comes after me, He of whom I am not worthy to untie his sandal straps
Men, brothers, descendants of the line of Abraham, and all who, with you, have reverence for God, to you is this word of Life sent
For, those inhabitants of Jerusalem and their rulers did not realize it, nor, too, the scriptures of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, but they condemned him, and so fulfilled all the things written
And while they found no grounds for his death, they asked Pilate that they might kill him
And when they had carried out everything that was written of him, they took him down from the cross, and laid him in a tomb
.But God raised him from the dead
And for many days he appeared to those who accompanied him from Galilee to Jerusalem, and they are now his witnesses to the people
And behold, we also tell to you the Good News, that the promise which was made to our forefathers
behold, God has fulfilled it to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus, as it is written in the second psalm:You are my Son: this day you are born to me
And God has so raised him from the dead, never return to corruption again; as he said: I will give to you the sure grace of David
And again he said, in another place: You have not given your holy one to experience corruption
For David, served the will of God in his generation, and went to his rest, and so buried with his forefathers, and experienced corruption
But this one, whom God raised up, did not experience corruption
Know therefore, brothers, that through this man the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you
And all that believe in this man, are made justified from all things from which you could not be made justified by the Law of Moses
:Be careful, therefore, lest that which is written in the prophets happens to you
Behold, you mockers, and wonder, and perish; for I do something in your days, which you would not believe, though a man told it to you
.And as they left them, they were asked to speak on the same theme to them the following Sabbath day
And when the meeting was over, many Jews, and devout converts as well, followed them And they spoke with them, and urged them to remain faithful to the grace of God
.And the next Sabbath, the entire city gathered to hear the word of God
And when the Jews saw the great crowd, they were filled with envy, and contradicted the words Paul spoke, and used blasphemies
And Paul and BarNabas said boldly: To you the word of God had to be spoken first; but since you have rejected it, and do not think yourselves worthy of Eternal Life, behold, we turn to the pagans
For so has our Lord commanded us, as it is written: I have made you a light to the nations, that you may be for Life* unto the ends of the earth
And when the pagans heard, they rejoiced and glorified God And those who were destined to Eternal Life, believed
.And so the word of the Lord was spoken about throughout all that region
But the Jews worked up the rulers of the city, and the devout women of wealth, and persuaded them to turn against Paul and BarNabas, and expel them from their territory
.And when they left, they shook the dust from their feet towards them, and went off to the city of Iconium
.And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy Spirit

Chapter 14

And they came and went in the synagogue of the Jews, and spoke so with them that many of the Jews and of the Greeks believed
.But the Jews who did not believe aligned the pagans against the brothers
And they remained there a long time, and spoke boldly concerning the Lord, and he gave testimony to the word of His grace, by the signs and wonders which He performed by their hands
.And the entire population of the city was divided, and some were with the Jews, and some followed the Apostles
And a move was made on them by the pagans, and by the Jews and their leaders, to make attacks on them, and to stone them with stones
And when they realized it, they left and fled to the cities of Lycaonia and Lystra and Derbe, and to the villages around them
.and there they preached
And a certain man lived in the city Lystra, a cripple who had been lame from birth, who had never walked
,He heard Paul speak, and when Paul saw him, and knew that he had faith to be healed
he said to him, with a loud voice: In the name of our Lord Jesus the Messiah, I say to you, Get up on your feet. And he jumped up, stood, and walked
And the crowd of people, when they saw what Paul had done, lifted up their voices in the language of that region, and said: The gods have taken on the appearance of men, and have come down to us
.And they named BarNabas as the Lord of the Gods; and Paul as Hermes, because he was the head speaker
And the priest of the Lord of the Gods, who was without the city, brought oxen and garlands to the gate of the courtyard where they stayed, and wanted to offer sacrifices to them
But BarNabas and Paul, when they heard, tore open their clothes, and bolted out and went out into the crowd, and called out
and said: Men, what are you doing? We are also mere mortals, like yourselves, who preach to you, so you should turn from these useless things to the Living God, who made heaven and earth and the seas, and all things in them
:He, in ages past, left all the nations to go in their own ways
nevertheless, he did not leave without evidence of himself, in the good things He did from heaven, and sent down the rain, and made the fruits to grow in their seasons, and filled them with food and their hearts with joy
And, even with saying these things, they had difficulty discouraging the people from offering sacrifice to them
But Jews came there from Iconium and Antioch, and stirred up the people against them And they stoned Paul, and dragged him out of the city, assuming that he was dead
And the disciples gathered around him, and he got up, and went back into the city And the following day, he left there with BarNabas, and they came to the city of Derbe
And while they preached to the population of that city, they made many disciples And in returning, they came to the city Lystra, and to Iconium, and to Antioch
strengthening the souls of the disciples, and encouraging them to persevere in the faith, and telling them that we all have to experience many hardships, before entering the Realm of God
And they appointed them elders in each church, and with fasting and prayer, they commended them to our Lord in whom they believed
.And when they had traveled over the region of Pisidia they came to Pamphylia
.And after they had spoken the word of the Lord in the city of Perga, they went down to Attalia
And from there they sailed by sea, and came to Antioch, where they had been commended to the grace of the Lord for the work which they had completed
And when they had assembled together the entire church, they gave an account of all that God had done with them, and how he had opened the door of faith to the pagans
.And they stayed a long time there with the disciples
